Former Ugandan President Blasts Museveni Government

Posted by African Press International on October 8, 2006

BINAISA has blasted Museveni government over LRA talks. The former President Godfrey Binaisa is attacking the government for what he terms “engaging into peace talks with LRA rebels without any enabling law”, reports The Monitor of Uganda.

Binaisa lived in exile after he was deposed as president years ago. President Museveni, the man he is now attacking, allowed him to return to Uganda from his self-exile.

Binaisa is now an old man and his attack on Museveni government is not a political come-back, but a way to influence voters to choose those he wants to groom for leadership.
