Afghan man gets 15 years jail term for killing a fellow asylum seeker of Somali origin in Norway

A 29- year-old Afghan man is in Gulating Appeals court sentenced to 15 years in prison for the murder of a Somali asylum seeker at New Paradise asylum seekers camp in Bergen last year .

The killer must also pay 800,000 kroner in compensation to the bereaved family .

Mohamoud Ahmed ( 45 ) from Somalia died on the 22 May last year after being stabbed 24 times . The Afghan man claims that he killed the Somali man in self-defense because he was attacked first , but the jury did not believe him.

Analysts say the Afghan may have killed in desperation after realising that the Norwegian authorities had denied him asylum in the country. He will be deported to his home country Afghanistan after serving his sentence.

Norway: Babtism of Silje’s and Joseph’s child took place on the 2.june 2013 in Oslo

Norwegian Silje and Joseph Wol Ali Mongok from South Sudan babtised their baby-boy on the 2nd of June 2013 in Oslo. The two parents were excited throughout the ceremony that brought together many invited guests.

The two, happy and very proud to be parents, held a get together party at Lilleborg Church after the babtism was done.

Oslo: Organised group of youth disrupted a good African night party at Slurpen Saturday 4th/5th May

The Party at Slurpen Hall, in the city center of Oslo was in top gear and being enjoyed by many. It, however, ended abruptly when some organised group of youth arrived to disrupt the party, forcing the organizers to seek security help to tame the situation.

On police arrival, everything cooled down and party goes were requested to go home, of which everybody obeyed without any serious disagreements.

The place, Slurpen Hall, is known to house many successful parties throughout the year.

Another party is set to take place coming Friday the 10th of April 2013. This time, the organizers say they will be on guard so that nobody uninvited gets the opportunity to disrupt the party.
