SATURDAY SERMON

By Abraham Mutwol

In Luke 19:1-10, the Bible states that Zacheus, the chief tax collector who was also the shortest man in Jerusalem was determined to see Jesus at whatever cost. This prompted him to climb a sycamore tree, an act which was both humiliating and beneath his dignity.

In spite of the embarrassment he went through, he ended up not only succeeding in having a vantage view of Jesus(saw Jesus better than all the tall people Jerusalem) but Jesus recognised his sacrifice and offered to dine at his house.

In the same vein, success of whatever form requires that we think outside the box. We should should discard our timidity and an act in a bold and courageous way. We should seek to do things in extraordinary ways so that we reap extraordinary results.

And even if you are short in whatever form ( I. e. due to business failure, unemployment, failure in exam etc) I prophesize that you that will see success more than anybody in your locality. You may be poor but with Zacheus attitude you will be a billionaire. Some may have dismissed you as a nobody, a failure who will amount to nothing in life, but if you decide to climb you own sycamore tree, the extent of your transformation will astound your enemies far and wide.

The end
