15th June 2017, A day to remember: President Uhuru and DP Ruto visits Belgut constituency in Kericho county

Posted by African Press International on June 15, 2017

By Nelson Koech Sonko (incoming Member of Parliament, Belgut Constituency)

Quite an involving day it has been. Just like the other 5 constituencies in our county, Belgut Constituency was today a proud co- host of President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto.

For the much they have done to us as a constituency over their 4 and a half year stint ,we are grateful.

Nobody in their wildest of imaginations some years back would have thought that in June of 2017, a tarmac would run from Taplotin through Chepnyogaa to Premium.

Nobody 5 years ago would have imagined that Sosiot and Kapkelek would be having street lights this year.

In my honest opinion, as a constituency we have something to write home about under Jubilee’s first term.

I have a wish-list that I will also present to Uhuruto when they commence their 2nd term God willing. My mission now is to reach out to the 60,000 or so voters to mark the Uhuruto ballot paper space on 8th August.

Thank you for the hundreds who turned up especially at Sosiot and Taplotin and more so for showing the jubilee duo in unanimity that you are firmly Pro-Sonko.

Good night Everyone. God bless you abundantly.
