The controversy at Ahero Girls over who heads the institution may not end soon.
On Monday TSC interdicted the school’s principal sister Sarah Adipo.
Two days later on Wednesday, the employment and labour relations court gave temporary orders to stop the interdiction.
The matter was certified as urgent and will be heard interparty .
That means status quo remain until the matter is heard and determined by the courts. The injunction was issued by high Court in Kisumu.
This is the third attempt by TSC to interdict the principal.
She had been accused of many things among them misuse of school funds amounting to over 4 million which she denied.
She was also alleged to have introduced illegal levies . These are now court matters which will be determined there.
There was drama at the school on the evening of Monday last week. Students went on rampage to protest the TSC action against the principal.
The area DC is reported to have visited the school following the unrest. The area MP too went to the school and then there was a commotion which saw the MP arrested and charged with incitement.
He’s now out on 100,000 bond and the case will proceed.
It now appears the issue has not even spared the newly appointed BOM Chairman.
One of the board members asked for the removal of the chairman and accused him of mishandling issues of the board.
Mr Innocent Masara, who sits in the board asked for its dissolution.
He alleged that the chairman was flouting laid down procedures and was allegedly paying himself allowance after convening unpprocedurally convened meetings at the expense of the school.
Masara also claimed that the chairman have the habit of receiving transport allowance for trips which he said were not benefiting the school.
He produced copies of vouchers allegedly signed by the board chairman to be paid transport allowance for trips which Masara claimed had nothing to do with the official function of the school.
The BOM member also showed this writer a copy of a petition against the chairman which he claims he gave to the local education officers at the county level whom he now accuses of failing to act.
The principal was sometime in last year interdicted by TSC over similar allegations. The TSC reversed the interdiction through another letter which said that the earlier interdiction was erroneous. She was asked to continue discharging her duties.
Then she was interdicted again mid this year and she moved to court and successfully challenged the action by her employer.
And last week on Monday, commission again interdicted her and they are back in Court again.
Efforts to get the BOM Chairman to react or comment on the allegations leveled against him were futile. He didn’t answer our calls and he also failed to respond to a text message sent to him through the Mobile telephone.
