His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta at the White House Dinner

Since his appearance at the ICC in 2011, when he was the Deputy Prime Minister during Kenya’s coalition government, he has moved on to become the President of the Republic. His case is still on, but falling apart. The Chief Prosecutor has said the Prosecution has no tangible evidence against him.

After giving evidence in 2011, Mr Uhuru Kenyatta was congratulated by many, among them this writer.

The ICC Judges are yet to determine what to do with his case which is falling apart and yet the Prosecution is still hanging on to it.

During the presidential elections last year, the US Obama Administration and many Western Nations had warned that if Kenyans elected Mr Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto, that would have consequences. After the elections in 2013 March the 4th, which Mr Kenyatta won resoundingly, many leaders in the West, including President Obama of the US told Kenyans that the choice of their leaders would not be accepted and minimal contact will be the thing of the day.

Now at long last, President Uhuru Kenyatta is at the White House with President Obama together with other African leaders who are attending the US Africa Summit. Mr Kenyatta got a very warm welcome with parading soldiers saluting him as he entered the White House for dinner.

Congratulations to the Kenyan people who decided to determine their own destiny by not allowing themselves to be dictated by the West on who to choose as their leaders.
