The founding of WND by Joseph Farah and his wife Elisabeth.

Want to go to war with the ‘mainstream media‘?
A special appeal from Joseph Farah, founder of the world’s
1st independent Internet news agency

Chances are, as a subscriber to WND news alerts, you agree with me that the so-called “mainstream media” is a hopelessly broken institution — devoid of values, morally rudderless, a force for evil as opposed to righteousness, and truly anything but “mainstream.”That’s the very reason I founded WND with my wife, Elizabeth, more than 15 years ago.

I know the truth from the inside: For more than 20 years before starting WND – then called WorldNetDaily – I was a part of the establishment press, running daily newspapers in major markets, serving as an investigative reporter, working as a foreign correspondent and supervising newsrooms in some of the biggest markets in the country.

But I could see the fatal flaws of the Big Media – and the damage already being done to America.

So I started WND with one thought in mind – doing journalism the old-fashioned way: American-style watchdog reporting that recognized the central role of a free press in a free society is to expose corruption, fraud, waste and abuse in government and other powerful institutions.

Well, I’m sorry to say that while we have more alternative news sources today, the “establishment press,” as I call it, has only gotten worse – much worse!

In fact, I think it’s time for all-out war on the Big Media.

How do we take on this monster?

The answer is to support the competition, which you already do – believe it or not – as a subscriber to WND’s news alerts.

You have no idea how much that one action helps us.

The fact that more than half a million of you subscribe brings WND credibility, ad revenues, additional traffic on big breaking stories and helps us do battle for the truth in a world hostile to it.

You represent a sizable army in this battle, but I want to enlist you today to recruit some reinforcements.

You probably share some WND articles with your friends and other like-minded warriors. That’s great. But today I want to urge you to invite them to join you on the front lines of this war for the truth by doing what you’ve already done – simply subscribe to WND news alerts. It’s free, of course. And it’s a great service, because no one person can keep up with all the news that’s important without this kind of help. But it’s also a great equalizer in the battle of ideas.

For WND to grow rapidly, we need your help.

How many people do you know who should be visiting every day but are not? How many do you know who are not subscribed to the world’s best alternative news source? How many do you know who are, well, just not in the know because they are missing so much that WND offers uniquely in hard-hitting, fearless, credible journalism the way it was meant to be practiced?

If everyone reading this message simply invited one friendly acquaintance to join us in this battle, we could take on CNN, AP, Al-Jazeera and the New York Times. I mean it!

WND has some exciting initiatives launching this year that will make you proud of our work.

So here’s what I want you to do – and it would mean a lot to me and all of my courageous colleagues at WND: Forward this email to your friends – as many as you can. Add your personal endorsement at the top. Let them know what you think of WND. And ask them to sign up for themselves by clicking here.

It’s that simple.

But it’s also hugely important in times like this – challenging times that make the work of WND all the more vital.

Will you do this for me? Will you do this for your country? Will you do this for your children who are growing up in a world that no longer values truth?

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this. Let’s turn that army of more than 500,000 into an army of 1 million sooner rather than later.

God bless you for your continued support.

Joseph Farah
Editor and Chief Executive Officer
