Libya affirms its strong stand beside Sudan in the face of Ocampo’s allegations

SUNA- The envoy of the Libyan Leader, Dr. Ali Abdel-Salaam Al-Teraiki, has affirmed rejection to the allegations of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Ocampo, against Sudan, describing the act as a political one and contravenes all the international laws and charters, announcing the Libyan Jamahiriyah’s strong stand beside Sudan.
In a press statement following his meeting with Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha at premises of the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers Saturday, Al-Teraiki said the ICC prosecutor’s allegations were a plot that targeted peace, unity and stability of Sudan.
He added that the meeting discussed developments concerning the Sudanese-Chadian relations in the light of decision issued by the President of the Republic on restoration of the diplomatic relations between Khartoum and N’djamena and normalization between the two countries and cooperation concerning security in the area, referring to the importance of joint work between Sudan and Libya for finding a solution to Darfur issue and helping Chad in solving its internal problems.
