Looking for football agents in Norway – a way to quick money desired by many.

“*Norway’s professional soccer agents are awash in inquiries from hopeful youth in Africa and South America vying for a spot on a Norwegian team. Not all of them even play soccer, though.

Per A Flod, who’s the agent for soccer star John Carew, says he simply deletes the inquiries he receives by e-mail.

“Many of these people aren’t even soccer players,” Flod told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) on Tuesday. He suspects they’re contacting him as a means of trying to illegally immigrate to Norway.

Flod has decided it’s not worth his time to try “to sort out the pearls,” calling it “a much too demanding job.”

Fellow agent Gunnar Martin says he also gets as many 25 inquiries a day, and that he doesn’t pay attention to them either.

Most of those writing say they’re between 17 and 19 years old, and the majority is from Nigeria. Flod says he can’t rule out the prospect of good players among them, but that many shouldn’t even call themselves players.

“Creativity knows no boundaries,” he said. “People will do what they can to get to Europe and what they think is the land of milk and honey.” *”
