Uganda: The history of Uganda - a benefit to 60 students in the UK

Mr.Ham Mukasa, well done. This is so educative that we have discussed alot about you of late. I have used your articles to educate my Ugandan students on tuition after school hours. This is a classroom of over 60 students divided in 4 classes. well done.

What is interesting is the ignorance of people like capt Opion, Capt Otim and some other Lt. They really lack mind of understanding. I am impressed also on the article of Ugandan history not to be seen in tribal terms. You are brilliant Ham Mukasa. Ham a history teacher here in the UK and african history fascinates me too.

A few days ago Ii talked to someone in the Ugandan High Commission (UK) and told him about your articles. He has read your articles today and he says you are a brilliant man. He also claims to know your family. Keep up your family name and the courage to educate others. I am going to try to re-publish your articles in our magazines here in the UK. Work well done.

Ivorian patriot on peace mission

Abidjan (Côte-d’Ivoire) Ivorian citizen Charles Ble Goude, chairman of the Panafrican Yought Congress (COJEP), leader of the « Young Patriots » and close to President Gbagbo, was Friday given mandate to go round the country in a bid to preach peace, APA was informed in Abidjan.

The authorization was delivered by the Ivorian minister of reconciliation and relations with institutions, Sebastien Danon Djedje on a dedication ceremony hosted by his ministry in honour of Charles Ble Goude.

The leader of the Young Patriots was entrusted the ministerial order issued by the ministry of reconciliation and relations with institutions that consecrates him peace ambassador.

Charles Ble Goude was nominated in April ’Ivorian peace ambassador’ by Danon Djedje during an apotheosis in Yopougon of the peace caravan that he organised with the participation of the New Forces.

“This honorary distinction gives you authority to continue activities in favour of reconciliation and peace everywhere the need be, promoting national unity and the culture of peace,” Sebastien Danon Djedje said.

According to Charles Ble Goude such an “honour urges to more responsibility, beyond the joy that I feel, because it is the recognition the fruits of a labour”.

According to him, this means that the people of Cote-d’Ivoire rely on us ; our authorities are relying on us and we must give this mission its meaning by getting closer to Ivorians, he said.

This distinction, he reasserted, requires us to go much further in work, underscoring that the reflexes of a people correspond to what they receive.

“Today by providing the information of reconciliation and peace, they will talk to each other beyond political diversities. Everybody should work towards peace. One should not be a spectator, » he concluded.

For a few weeks, Charles Ble Goude has renounced to street demonstrations and turned toward peace. He has already gone to several parts of the government held area in line with the peace caravan.

Charles Ble Goude is expected in a few days in Bouake, the headquarters of the former rebels, now ally to the presidential side, following the Ouagadougou Agreement signed on last March 4 th.
