Idah Odinga, wife of Presidential hopeful “Raila” thrown out of office!

Posted by africanpress on November 14, 2006

Ida Odinga, the wife of Raila Odinga who wants to be Kenya’s next president has been removed from her offices.

The Council removed her to pave way for investigations due to alleged mis-management .

The Times reports that “THE League of Kenya Women Voters (LKWV) yesterday maintained that the decision by the Council to suspend its chairperson Idah Odinga to allow a special audit still stands and rubbished the Friday’s move to dissolve the Council.”
The Council member Waithira Chege and a group of women that “the Chairperson unilaterally sent away the finance and administration manager
thus making it impossible to carry out the audit.”

If Raila’s wife can dictate in her position, and as reported become a hinder to the audit, it is a sad story Ida being a wife of a man who wants to lead the Kenyan people.

Fearing the audit, it has been reported that Idah Odinga dissolved the Council and is now the one being removed and accused of cover-up by the women.

“The chairperson has no authority under our constitution to dissolve the Council unilaterally and her (Ida’s) actions are therefore illegal and
uncalled for. There are serious governance and accountability issues that the Council has been trying to resolve in order to protect the integrity of the organisation and members’ interests which cannot be solved by the action taken by the chairperson,” Chege observed; reports the Times (Kenya)

Speaking to the Times, Chege maintains that the organisation’s constitution must be adhered to saying “According to the provisions of the LKWV, no member can unilaterally rescind a decision of the Council even if she or he is in better positions.”

As the story develops “reliable sources told the Sunday Times that Mrs Odinga had allegedly
swindled Sh10 million donated by the European Union adding that she further dismissed from the organisation all the staff who are not from her tribe.”

If this tribal thing has taken place, what does one expect if she was to become Kenya’s First Lady should the husband Raila get elected President of the Republic. We will expect people sacked from their jobs (on tribal lines) in the State House.

Mismanagement in organisations is not a new thing in many countries. The good thing is the fact that the members have a right to correct the situation as in this case. That is why constitutions steering the organisations must be adhered to at all time by the members.

Those now calling for the discipline against Raila’s wife must be congratulated for daring to stop what they consider to be misuse of funds and power.

By carrying the story, the Times has made it possible for the public to understand what Ida is doing with funds as alleged by the organisation.

The times continues to state: “Sources further intimated to us that the League’s executive director Irene Oloo who happen to be Idah’s niece has at her disposal all the five vehicles that belong to the League and that the Council uses a lot of money to repair them following alleged misuse. They claimed the vehicles are involved in accidents when Oloo uses them on behalf of the chairperson to donate funds to only Bondo and Migori  districts against donor regulations and what LKWV stands for It is also alleged that major international meetings are only attended by Mrs Odinga and her niece. Sources further disclosed that the League’s offices are allegedly being used to coordinate Raila Odinga’s Presidential Campaign Fund for Women
candidates, adding that Idah turns down women who do not belong to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Kenya;” reports the Sunday Times (Kenya)

Two ODM-K Leaders reported planning a coup in Kenya!

Posted by africanpress on November 14, 2006

We can now reveal that two ODM-K leaders are planning to topple the Kenya government before the next general elections.

The planned coup was first supposed to take place the  same day President Kibaki was leaving the country for China recently.

Money already collected by the two leaders from friends and supporters abroad is said to have been deposited in a foreign account in readiness to dish it out to the group going to execute the plan.

According to the plan, all Narc ministers were to be arrested and parliament dissolved immediately the coup succeeded.

Former President Moi and his family were also to be rounded up.

Our reliable sources has confirmed that approximately 51 billion Kenya shillings for the mission has been received from supporters abroad who would like to see a particular ODM-K leader take over the presidency.

The plan was not without a hitch. Two days before the president was to leave the country for China, the group charged with the coup had not received the money they had been promised to be deposited in foreign accounts operated for them.

They wanted to have the money deposited in their foreign accounts so that if the coup failed they did not want to see a repeat of the 1981 attempted coup, whereby those who participated had no way of escaping, and even if they managed did not have money outside Kenya so that they could lead a new life in exile.

According to reliable sources we can also report that 3 senior military personnel from 2 different African countries were in Scandinavia recently, to gauge the reaction from those opposed to a continued rule by President Kibaki. None of the military men is from Kenya. The three serve in their respective countries in the military intelligence.

The two were recorded in one hotel room discussing the plan with a group of white mercenaries who are expected to lead the hit, while the group in Kenya is to act as a support group.

Owing to the fact that this will be a disaster fto the Kenyan people, we have decided to take this unpopular step and reveal the plan now that we have received reliable information.

After the postponement of the planned coup, the three military men are now engaged in a crucial recruitment drive to get best qualified mercenaries to assist in the accomplishment of the plan before the elections next year.

While visiting Scandinavia, they held five meetings in five different locations in Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Thereafter, they left for Switzerland where the bank accounts has been operated in the names of the group coup leaders. And from there, they were to fly to the UK, Canada and US for consultations with those who financially support the plan.

Indeed, we have gathered information to the effect that many international groups are pumping in money to this disastrous project, yet at the same time they talk of democracy.

The group planning the coup has major problem. Coups this days are not popular, but they realise the recent coup in Asia succeeded and the international community has not reacted in any serious manner.

The two ODM-K leaders have agreed with the executors of the coup that they group takes over the country and installs them in power.

They do not want to be seen participating actively because they fear the international condemnation. They know, however, that they will get support from their co-master-minders abroad, immediately they are installed by coup leaders because they have drummed big support by making the international community to believe that President Kibaki’s government is very corrupt.

A coup where individuals are power hungry will bring no peace and stability to Kenya, but a tragedy for the peace loving Kenyan people.
